Lean-back incline Y raise

Dumbbells, bench at 20-30 degrees

Sit with your back against a low incline bench and raise the dumbbells up and out in a Y shape. Leaning back keeps tension on the side delts at the bottom, where a standing raise goes slack.

  1. Back on the pad, chest up
  2. Raise up and out in a Y, thumbs slightly up
  3. Lower slowly to a full stretch
